Tuckered Out

Sometimes Sundays can be exhausting what with church and all. Funny that I caught these two taking a snooze before church today! P.S. We have church at 9 am.

Waterbottle

My sister wondered if her boys were the only ones that were facinated by waterbottles. Guess not....

Family

Last weekend Jillian and I went to Idaho to go to my cousin's wedding. While we were there we had fun hanging out with my grandparents, my mom, both of my sisters, my brother-in-law and my nephews. Tanner and Jilly
All the cousins (not a great picture, Vance wasn't thrilled about getting his picture taken).

Swinging Continued...

Yay! I can finish my earlier post now. Jillian decided after she got a push from Sean that she actually enjoyed the swing.
Smiling in mid-swing.

Jillian likes being taller than everyone else.

Swinging

Sean and I found a park with swings so we took Jillian. She didn't seem to sure about it at first but by the time we got her moving she was having a great time. Blogger is not letting me upload any of the other pictures (it took me a good 20 minutes to get this one on) so I'll have to post those later. This is the first picture we took before she realized that swinging is fun.

Happy Father's Day!

If I'm not mistaken this picture is the first picture taken of my Dad after becoming a father. Maybe he was feeling a little overwhelmed, but 5 kids and 3 grandkids later he is still a wonderful father and grandfather. I love you Dad, Happy Father's Day!

Park Take Two

We decided to try the park again today and while it was warmer outside it was still really windy. Once we got there I realized the park didn't have swings. What kind of park doesn't have swings? So we just sat on the grass for a few minutes and Jilly tried to decide if she liked it or not (verdict is still out).Oh yeah, Jilly is sitting on her own. She's not great at it yet but can go for longer stretches every day. I think planting her bum in the long grass helped her stay up.

The Anatomy of Sliding

Start by sitting up. Then arch your back so you slide into a lying postition.
Finally, pull the blanket that was propping you up on your head.
P.S. She did this all on her own.

Attempting the Park

Every morning I get up and watch the news while I'm feeding Jillian. Mostly I like to know what the traffic and weather is like (I know you're thinking, "Why do you need to know about the traffic? You stay at home with Jillian all day..." I realize this but I still like to warn Sean about how good or bad it is when he walks out the door. I don't think he cares if I check it or not but that's another story). So today I notice that it's supposed to be around 70 degrees until the afternoon when a cold front comes in. I dress Jillian accordingly in a little summer dress and think that we should walk to the park today as the rest of the week is looking pretty crummy. Around one o'clock I get itching to get outside so I slather Jilly with sunscreen, put a sun hat on her, strap her in the stroller and take off. Once I step outside I realize it's a bit on the windy side so I grab a blanket to wrap around Jillian. We start off down the sidewalk heading in the direction of the park and I realize that it is cold! I look up and the sun that was out just moments before had disappeared behind massive amounts of clouds. So much for the park. We loop around in a big circle and go back home. Jillian's legs are so cold when we get inside and my feet are still cold from the venture (I'm writing this 7 hours later by the way). I don't know if you can tell how yucky it is outside by the picture but the wind is blowing quite hard and the mountains are covered by dark clouds.

On a side note, isn't Jillian supercute in this purple and white sunhat that her Grandma Galland got her? She didn't even seem to mind it on her head and that is saying a lot! I just had to get some pictures of her in it even if they're just of her sitting in the stroller and not playing at the park.

When in Washington...

...you must:
Catch up on your reading,

that includes the news,

catch up on some e-mails,

play with the kitty,

enjoy some fine dining,

and most importantly, catch up on your sleep!

"Say Mama" Part 2

This makes me laugh. When Jillian gets a grumpy face and says, "Mama" I just can't help but laugh at her even though she sounds so sad!

We're back!

Hello! We're back from our trip to see the grandparents. Did you miss us? First off I have to post this funny video of Jillian. She cracks me up.

We had a good time in Washington and while the trip seemed too short we're glad to be back at home to sleep in our own beds! As always, Jillian was the big hit of where ever we went. Always nice to be seen even if it's because you're carting an adorable baby with you:)
