Picture round up

Just a few pictures I've taken in the last few weeks.Chloe gearing up for Halloween. She's practicing being a ghost.

It is so hard to get them all to look at the camera at the same time. It's even harder to get them to all look pleasant at the same time. This was the best we could do.

She fell alseep after getting a time-out and being asked to sit in the chair. Most of the time she needs a nap instead of a time-out.

Fair

We went to the Davis County fair yesterday for a little while. This particular fair is pretty small and we walked around most of it in an hour but it's free to get in (you only have to pay to park) and it was nice to get out and walk around for awhile. The girls really enjoyed looking at the animals. "Look at the bunnies!"

Chloe trying her hand at the hula hoop.

Jillian having fun hula hooping.

Jillian was asking what kind of animals were at the fair. She asked if we would see a giraffe or an elephant. I felt bad when I told her that there were only pigs, sheep, horses, and cows. Then we went to the petting zoo and there was a zebra. Guess I was wrong! You couldn't pet the zebra though. Lame.

Jillian and the tortoise. She made Sean hold her the whole time because she was scared of the goats.

Chloe checking out the tortoise from the stroller. She probably would've had fun getting in with the animals but we couldn't get in with the stroller and Sean already had to hold Jillian so maybe next time.

Checking out some piglets that were only 10 days old.

We had a good time and we got there as soon as it opened so the crowds were small (and most of the vendors weren't there yet which was ok by me because mostly they just pester you). We got to the 4-H barn right as they were starting the auction which was fun to watch for a minute. I couldn't understand the auctioneer so when he finished selling off a goat and it went for $1000 I looked at Sean and asked if I heard that right. Obviously, I am unaware of how much animals go for. Good thing Sean had raised a goat and could explain things to me.

And this probably isn't exciting to anyone but me but this is my 400th post!

Crafty

Instead of trying to get my house in immaculate shape before this baby come (which is what happened while I was nesting with my girls) I am instead in a crafty type mood. I do enjoy making things but I think I'm seriously out of control.

While I was in Washington in May I crocheted this scarf from my sister for school. It was a fun scarf to crochet and I think I'll have to do more because it's so cute:

The other day I decided I needed a new Boppy cover. This is my old one. It would work for a boy just fine but it's stained and faded. This is the new one I made today:

Yeah, it's two toned in case I get tired of the green or the giraffe print.

Last week I made a blessing romper for this little guy. It had some major issues but I think I fixed them and as long as no one looks too close (in person) it'll be just fine.

I think my new favorite thing to do is put cute appliques on onesies. I know lots of people having babies this time of year (guess I'm in good company) so I'm stocking up. The cutest ones I've made have been for my brand new niece who was born last week but I'm not sure they have got them in the mail yet so I'll have to post them later so I don't ruin the surprise.

I have lots of projects running around in my head as well. I wish I had unlimited time and money so I could make all the things that are tempting me!
