Taking Glen to the MTC

I took Glen to the MTC today. My parents put him on a plane really early this morning and I picked him up and took him to Provo.

Glen getting his luggage.

Jillian checking out Glen's suitcase to make sure it's ok.

We had lunch before we had to drop Glen off. I wanted to get a good picture with him and my girls but this was as good as we got.

At the MTC.

One last picture before he went inside.
I think it was totally unfair that I was the only family member actually there to drop him off. I'm the crier in the family and so what happened when I hugged him goodbye? Waterworks! I held it together until he walked away but sheesh, what is it about becoming a parent and instantly crying all the time? I'm not a fan!
We LOVE Glen and know he'll be a GREAT missionary!

I am so glad that you were there to take Glen from the airport to the MTC. You cannot imagine what a load it was off my mind not to have to worry about him on that end. We were just glad he got a seat on an oversold plane.

Besides the one and half hour flight looks awfully good compared to a 12 hour car trip.

And all these years I thought I was the crier in the family. :) I got teary eyed when I hugged him good-bye, but it was nothing like what the MTC does to you. Love the pictures. Why didn't I think to take a picture with just me and Glen?

Thanks for posting that. It was good to see pictures and I'll bet he was glad you were there to pick him up and drop him off.
