Just a few pics

Just a few pictures I caught of Jillian last week that I thought were delightful so I'm sharing.

Sometimes after breakfast I leave Jillian in her high chair for a few minutes so I can get some things done really quick without the extra "help" from Jillian. Last Monday I did just that while I unloaded the dishwasher and when I looked at her to see what she was doing this is what I saw:

Poor Jillian! She looked bored out of her mind! What is a good Mom to do? Take a picture of course!

Also, we are thoroughly enjoying our new couch. You can see that Jillian loves to rub her head on it by her crazy hair!

Busy week

We were pretty busy last week. Jillian and I went to a baby shower, met up with some of my college roommates, went visiting teaching, and got visit taught. Whew...and you wonder why I don't keep my blog updated!

Because I forgot to take pictures at the baby shower (sorry Kat, I meant to!) you'll have to enjoy the pictures I took at Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake while catching up with my college roommies, Laura and Shauni.Jillian and my Discovery Gateway wrist bands. Very bright!
Jillian loved the water section. Ever time I couldn't spot her right away I only had to look in the direction of the water and there she was headed. Right next to her is Rachel, my roommate Laura's daughter. They had a good time splashing and playing with the balls.I wanted to get a good picture of how wet Jillian got. Her shirt was soaked. I was wringing water out of it all day. She wouldn't let me put her under the dryers though, I think all the warm air blowing in her face was kinda scary. But she didn't mind being so wet. Next time we'll bring a change of clothes or a bathing suit!On the farm going through the produce section.Kali, Shauni's daughter, and Jillian. Kali was smiling so nice and Jilly was being a stinker as I tried to take this picture. They are sitting on a little boat. I was too distracted trying to get Jillian to sit down to get a good shot of the boat.
Here we are 10 years after we were first roommates at BYU. Laura with baby Audrey, me with Jillian, and Shauni with Jessi and Kali standing in front. Rachel was too busy playing for the photo-op. I had a great time ladies! Let's do it again soon!

Returning to normal

I know it's been awhile since I've blogged but I don't have much to blog about this week I guess. Things are returning to normal as Sean has been back to work and even received a paycheck (yay, we can eat!). We are also seeing more of Sean in the evenings which is the perfect amount of seeing him (he's not home all day but he's home from work at a decent hour).
Jillian and I are back to our normal routine except she's been teething which is always a pain (for both of us). She is getting some molars and they have been doosies to deal with.
She's also getting more independent and won't let me feed her anymore so I've been trying to come up with foods she can eat all by herself without making a gigantic mess. So far messiness has won. What can you do?

Jillian is getting bigger and bigger. But she's still pretty small. She's finally starting to wear some of her 12 month clothing (at 14 months). She's even still in her rear facing car seat because she's not big enough to turn around. She's getting close though. We're still trucking away. We've got some fun things coming up in the next week so I'm sure there will be more posts to come!
