Jillian turns 5

Jillian had her 5th birthday in January.
She got this dress for her birthday.  She loved the zebra stripes.
Jilly had a "My Little Pony" party.  She is wearing her 'Twilight Sparkle' pony tail.
Jillian with her birthday cake.  It was rainbow inside.

Heather's boys came over for cake.

Opening gifts.

I think she had a good birthday.  When did my little girl get to be a big girl?!?

We are back in business!

Let's catch up, shall we?

It was a nice Halloween. Warm outside, the kids didn't even need a coat.
Here they are with their friends and cousins.
 Jaylie and Jillian.  Best friends!
Chloe was Minnie Mouse, Jillian was Strawberry Shortcake, and Elliot was Mickey Mouse.

 Elliot enjoying spaghetti.
 I have two finger suckers.

Chloe's 3rd birthday was on December 2nd.
Opening gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Porter.

 Blowing out the candles.
Eating her cake.

 Enjoying her presents.
All the Galland/Campbell clan at Christmas.

Ok, that was the quick wrap-up for last year.  Stay tuned for more catch-up from this year!

Work in progress

Remember how I promised to be better at blogging?  Well, I was serious.  I got on just a day after my last post to put up pictures from birthdays and Christmas and found out that I'm using all my free google space. So I tried to purchase more and for some reason I can't.  I keep trying but google keeps sending me error messages.  Anyway, I haven't figured out what I'm going to do about it so that's why there are no new blog posts yet.

Behind

I have been a slacker blogger this fall/winter. Since I posted last we've had four major holidays and two birthdays.  Yup.  I'm a slacker.  I'd like to say I'm super busy or some exciting thing has changed so that I just don't get around to blogging as much but it all boils down to laziness.  I will admit, ever since I had Elliot I have had a hard time blogging as much as I used to.  The girls don't nap and he's been down to one nap a day for a long time now so I just don't have as much down time as I once did.  So this is me acknowledging that I'm behind and setting a goal to catch up.  Look for more posts (with cute pictures of my kids!) coming soon!

Elliot turns 1

Elliot's 1st birthday was on September 1st.  He's getting to be such a big boy! At his well check he weighed 21 lbs 12 oz and was 29 inches tall (but the doctor thought that measurement was off, she thinks he's longer). That puts him in the 32nd percentile for weight and the 26th percentile for length.  He has slimmed down quite a bit since he started crawling around about a month ago.  He loves to dance and listen to singing or the radio.  Elliot likes to play peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake.  He loves to play with his sisters and is starting to pull himself up to everything.  I've had to start doing the dishes when he's asleep or in his highchair because if the dishwasher is open, he will pull himself up and grab the dishes.  He loves food and prefers to feed himself so I'm trying to find foods that I can just give him that he can eat himself.

On Elliot's birthday, we had my sister and her men over for the celebration.
 The birthday boy!
 Cookie Monster cupcakes

Time for the party game.  Put the cookie in Cookie Monster's mouth.

 So excited for cake!

 I think he liked it.
Opening gifts.

Elliot had a really fun time on his birthday.  I can't believe he has been a part of our family for a year now!  I sure love my sweet boy!

Picture Catch-up

My little Chloe always finds the funniest places to sleep.  At least the one below she is in her bed.  It always amuses me how kids can be in the craziest positions and still sleep!

Elliot's happy face and what I like to call his 'stink face'.
 Sweet sisters.
Playing Pat-a-cake, Elliot's favorite game (although you can't tell by this picture since he's the only one not playing).

Quick trip to Washington

We ran up to Washington for a quick trip for Sean's Grandpa's memorial this month.  Chloe made sure she and Grandma Porter worked out the crossword puzzles each morning.

Jillian was being a stinker that morning.
Chloe wearing Grandpa Mike's summer hat.  She loved that thing!
Chloe really likes the grandpas/uncles in her life.  Here she is getting some chuckles out of Uncle Keith.
Grandma Galland/Campbell with all the grandkids (I'll get your name right one of these days, Laurie!).
L-R: Jillian, Chloe, Kimber, Anna, Elliot with Grandma in the back.
Hanging out with the Kelley Cousins.
It was a short trip but I think we all had a good time and enjoyed seeing everyone an unexpected second time this summer.
