Spring

We took advantage of the warm weather this weekend and went to the park. Jillian wasn't too sure about her sun hat at first but she seemed to get used to it pretty quick.

The kid playing on the rocks behind Sean and Jillian obviously couldn't read because there were huge signs everywhere saying, "Do Not Climb On Rocks." He was wading in water too and kept telling us that his feet were wet. I didn't see any parents around this kid either but luckily the water he was wading in was only a few inches deep and he was out of it before we took off from the waterfall.Sean tried to get Jillian to look at him in this picture but she was facinated by the water. If you look close you can see the "Do Not Climb On Rocks" sign behind me to the right and to the left you can see a parent chasing the little boy around the waterfall. I've decided we are not teaching Jillian to walk...

Life is much easier before they are mobile, especially walking. Vance thinks he is Mr. Independent and can take off wherever he wants in parking lots and stores and what not. I use to think those leashes for kids were the most horrible thing in the world and while I don't ever plan on buying one, they don't seem as bad as they use to.

Honey, you won't have to teach Jillian to walk... she will learn on her own.

What a fun little outing! Although it may seem scary, parks are much more fun once they can walk! :)
