The Golden Compass

A series of books that I love are His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. The first book in the trilogy is coming out as a movie next month. I'm pretty excited to go see it. The book is set in a parellel universe where people's souls are manifested in animal shapes called daemons. There is much more to the books and I highly recommend them.
